  1. 95 System Backup: Restore Readme

  4. Important Information:
  5. --------------------------------------
  6. If you had to reinstall or are going to reinstall 
  7. Windows 95, then run the restore program after
  8. Windows 95 is setup. NOTE: (If you run the Restore 
  9. program before reinstalling Widows 95, then Windows
  10. 95 setup will overwrite the important files and 
  11. your settings will be lost.) 
  12. Do Not Run the Recovery Program with Windows 95
  13. running or from a dos windows, You must restart your
  14. computer and boot from a Windows 95 Boot Disk and 
  15. then run Restore.

  18. To Restore your computers important files:
  19. ----------------------------------------------------------
  20. Restore from Floppy Disk:
  21.  
  22. 1: First you want to boot your computer from a bootdisk,
  23. 2: Insert the Recovery Disk in the floppy disk drive and change
  24. to the proper prompt. A:\ 
  25. 3: Type Restore at the prompt and press enter, The recovery 
  26. program will Start.
  27. Example: A:\Restore {press Enter}
  28. 4: Reboot your computer.

  30. Restore from Hard or Network Drive:

  32. 1: Exit out of Windows to a DOS prompt
  33. 2: Change to directory that you run the Backup to
  34. 3: Type Restore at the prompt and press enter, The recovery 
  35. program will Start.
  36. 4: Reboot your computer.
